EPRI receives $1.5 to test Alden turbine

Electric Power Research Institute has been awarded $1.5 million to test the Alden turbine, a hydropower electric generator which has been designed specifically to reduce the fish mortality during power production. The Alden turbine is meant to allow the migrating fish easily swim downstream and minimize non generating spill over dams. - read more
