Green Jobs Award 2011 for 7 Companies including Pacific Biodiesel

SJF Institute’s 2011 Green Jobs Award honours private businesses that contribute towards the economy and the environment. Pacific Biodiesel, Better World Books, Power Partners Inc., Sacred Power Corporation, SolarCity, Sungevity and The Taylor Companies were this year’s recipients of the award.

The nominations were based on the quality of the jobs and benefits, contribution to the environment, the diversity if employment opportunities and the level of community engagement. Together, these companies have 2500 people on their payroll. Pacific Biodiesel’s new project- Big Island Biodiesel, has been responsible for the creation of 85 construction jobs. - read more
