Recognizing innovation and achievement in bioenergy development, Biofuels Digest announced a list of ‘50 Hottest Companies for Bioenergy’, whose top spot was claimed by renewable oils developer Solazyme. Amyris ranked second while Gevo took up the third spot. The rankings were based on votes from a 100-member college of international selectors (60%) and from subscribers of Biofuels Digest and Renewable Chemicals Digest (40%).
Other Companies in the list were Honeywell’s UOP, Abengoa Bioenergy, and Sapphire Energy. 37 US-based companies made it to the list which also featured 7 newcomers. - read more
