Indian Government is preparing the National Bio-Energy mission to boost power generation from biomass. The mission aims to improve energy efficiency in industries using biomass and develop a bio-energy city project. It has planned for a GIS-based National Biomass Resource Atlas to identify the potential biomass regions in the country.
