Sunflower grown around Fukushima

Reports suggest that sixty miles away from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, radioactive beef, vegetables, milk and seafood have been found. The chief monk at the Buddhist Joenji Temple has been distributing sunflowers and seeds to be planted all around Fukushima. They believe that sunflower, amaranthus, field mustard and cockscomb absorb the radiation. Earlier sunflower was planted near the ponds in Chernobyl to remove the cesium deposits. - read more
