Syracuse University, IBM, New York State, has one of the worlds greenest data centers— a showcase of energy efficient design and function. It uses about 50 percent less energy than a typical data center in operation today. A typical data center uses up to 30 times more energy than a typical office building, and that energy use is doubling every five years. Improving data center energy efficiency offers significant energy cost savings and environmental benefits to organizations and businesses.
