it breaks apart the cell wall, and it kills the algae.

Yeah killing the algae is inefficient I like your LEVI extraction method much more. Also the equipment is expensive and uses a lot of energy especially if you're running a continuous operation.

READ ABOUT BUBLE FUSION, OR SONOLUMINESENCE
IT CREATES 20-30 TIMES IMPUT OF ELECTRICITY

    THERMONUCLEAR REACTION

    OUT PUT HEAT/ OR ELECTRICITY

    E-CAT REACTOR

    YOUR GETTING WARMER

i like what josh is doing too.
I wish he would use my land to make more for the planet

too complex an issue to discuss here.

i disagree with rcollins, they seem to be still alive?

what if you just stimulate them, with waves

    electricity, sound whatever

you need radiation shielding, and treat it like it is...

    a star in a jar

    a thermonulclear reactor

I am a FUSIONEER and damded proud of it!

algaejetfuels I think you should read more about extracting oil from algae using ultrasound.

Here is a youtube video that shows the process. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQCovM3_MPA

Here is another link the explains what happens during the ultrasound extraction process in detail.

Do OriginOil with their Live Extraction process use ultrasound?

Ultrasound on microalgae, or any cell culture works by electroporation or electropermeabilization of cell wall by means of an electrical field applied, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroporation. Lipid secretion it´s caused by other electrochemical phenom called electrophoresis that causes the motion of dispersed particles relative to a fluid under the influence of a spatially uniform electric field, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrophoresis. The secret is to determine optimal exposure time and optimal electrical field intensivity.
