Rajesh1986 wants to know Is there any alternative for using of CFC in Air conditioners and fridges? 8 months ago
Chlorofluorocarbon(CFC) is the main pollutant of atmosphere. It is mainly responsible for increasing green house gases concentration in atmosphere. our refrigerators and air conditioners, release this gas in large quantity. so day by day our atmosphere is getting polluted. This results in increase in temperature of earth.
Avoiding this CFC,can save our earth. Is any research going on this? Is there any other alternative for this?-
They don't use CFC anymore as a refrigerant. and technically it's not a greenhouse gas, because it doesn't trap heat, it is destructive to the ozone layer, because of the chlorine content which in not chemically inert, and reacts with the ozone layer. Here is what is used now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane
