How much is our electricity bill?
After many months, I actually had a look at our electricity bill, and figured out that we pay about Rs 10,000 per month for power. Now, considering that the total expenses for our company currently is about 6 lakhs (Rs 600,000) per month, the power bill is less than 2%!
So my first feelings are that I should not be too bothered about power savings at my office if it is costing me almost nothing! It is probably not the most sustainable way to think about it, but you will agree that it is most practical.
That does not mean I have closed the chapter on this, just means I am writing as I think :-)

Welcome to the project on making Clixoo more energy efficient.
As a first step, I plan to get an audit done of how much electricity we have been using in the past one year. Hopefully, an analysis of such data will show me where our power expenses have been going.
Just getting a measure of that should help us start off controlling energy expenses!
